Learn more about Wisconsin’s journey through career pathway policy alignment and system change at the local, regional, and state levels. In this webinar, you’ll hear from Scott DuBenske, Education Director at the Wisconsin Technical College System. He’ll provide a detailed look at the primary drivers of success in Wisconsin’s journey to scale career pathways, including, but not limited to:
- The Wisconsin Pathways Committee: the Committee is comprised of 14 members including: Tech Colleges, K-12, Workforce Development, Economic Development, Veterans Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Based Organization, and Workforce Development Boards Association. The active participation of the partners of the Wisconsin Career Pathways Committee ensures that career pathways in Wisconsin are industry-driven and support students and job seekers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
- Career Pathway Coordinators: the Career Pathway Coordinators function as the coordinating hub for developing and implementing career pathways at each of the 16 technical colleges around Wisconsin. Each position facilitates communication and learning goals between the WTCS districts and system office allowing for a stronger, more aligned network of best practices in design, marketing and implementation of career pathways.
- Data: Based on the results of several self-assessment exercises, the WTCS has created a 20-indicator Career Pathway Scorecard highlighting key transition points within WTCS Career Pathways. This platform serves as a virtual community of practice dedicated to career pathway measurement and allows for the Career Pathway Coordinators of each WTCS college to actively engage in the use of data to drive decision-making.
